      TEFL English Teacher Interview

      13 Oct 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Shanghai, Shanghai
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at English 1 (Shanghai, Shanghai) in Aug 2020

      Interview

Fairly easy and basic interview via Zoom. It lasted about 50 minutes and I felt that my recruiter was encouraging and informative. EF is quite corporate so obviously the recruiters do their best to sell the TEFL "experience" to potential teachers. I was offered a position in China just a few days after the interview and accepted the offer by signing a confirmation letter after considering for a few days. The process to secure the work permit following the interview is lengthy but organized.
