I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Empower in Jan 2015
Interview
After applying online (job was listed on indeed and on company website) I was contacted via email by a company recruiter from CO. There was a short phone interview, then a follow up interview, and then I was asked to take 2 online tests - one a multiple choice on customer service, the other similar to a GMAT- or GRE-type multiple choice question (but much easier than those exams).
I was also asked to consent to a background check.
I was called in for an in-person interview that was pretty light and easy. After my background check came back problem-free, I was offered a job. The whole process took about 2 weeks.
In the interview process there are three steps. All of them are done over the phone except the last one you do have the option to facetime but they don't require it. They were okay with audio. All of the interviews are done with HR people. You don't meet with anybody who works in the department.

Interview
Phone interview with general questions about my career aspirations and my previous work experience, skills and education. Recruiter was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and telling me about all the perks about working for Empower.

Question 1
What are my career goals. Why am I interested in Empower.
Nothing crazy. My application was done online, Recruiter reached out to me for phone interview. I was brought in for a formal interview. Process took maybe two weeks.
