Applicants were being considered for a position as a class-action paralegal. I initially did a phone screen with their HR department and the managing overseer for the paralegal department. The interviewer asked about experience and exposure to California Employment Law that covers a wide range of topics, from basic wage and hour problems to complicated PAGA/Class Action topics, as well as discrimination and wrongful termination issues. Though I did not get the job, the most impressive thing about the process was how transparent and communicative HR was. As opposed to doing an interview and never hearing back, it was an engaging process that left me quietly impressed enough to leave a review. I appreciate that they kept things transparent throughout so I could focus on other applications.
