The interview was okay. It was based on who you know in the company and not on your skill level. Sadly some of people that work at Emblem got the job based on being a personnel friend and not on your skill level.

Met with HR for an overview of the position. Then met with potential supervisor and talked about my previous experience and my expectations for the new position. Then answered specific technical questions.

Back in the distant past when I was hired, the process was fairly straightforward. I spoke directly to the management in the area where I would be working. They were open, friendly, and I was able to ask questions and challenge some of the points that they raised. I was able to negotiate the job title and functional level directly with the interviewer.
