I applied online. I interviewed at Elsevier (New York, NY) in Apr 2021
Interview
I submitted directly to an ad. The recruiter (who doesn't work directly for Elsevier) then reached out to schedule a screening call. These notes were passed on to the hiring manager. I had a good call with the hiring manager and then was ghosted. It reflects poorly on Elsevier for the recruiter to not respond or at the very least to not receive the boilerplate that they have decided to go with the other candidate.
Thank you for your review.
This is not the kind of experience we want our candidates to have, we would like to investigate this further, so it doesn’t happen again. We would appreciate if you would help us by providing us with more information via elseviergdrev@elsevier.com
We are striving to reduce any communication gaps, so any feedback you provide will help us to do so.

The interview process was fairly straightforward with the recruiter then the hiring manager it was a slow process though. I don’t really have much else to say but will continue to type.
Was pre interview over phone. Zoom call for 60 minutes. Call was very professional asking about experience and interest in the role. Next stage would be an interview with hiring manager
