I have never been so disrespected before, Elsevier booked a face to face interview with me on a Monday morning, made me comute for over an hour in the cold weather, and when I was at reception I received an email stating that the interview was canceled as the people who were going to interview me were "sick", sure I understand it's tough to go to work on a Monday morning in January but at least give people a call. I don't think it's too much to ask.
After calling their recruiter I got a call back stating that they had found other people to conduct the interview, I then declined as it's obvious to me that if this is the way people are treated then I don't want to work at this place. It was a massive disappointment for me and possibly the worst experience I ever had in the UK.
