I applied online. I interviewed at Electricity Supply Board (ESB) (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
Competency based interview. They advise to use the STAR method to answer questions before hand. Well structured before and during interview. You do need to prepare your answers. Downfall is after the interview, I was not offered the position, when I asked for feedback they said they do not offer feedback because they are so busy. That was a big let down on ESBs part and a disappointment after the preparation I put into the interview before hand.
I interviewed at Electricity Supply Board (ESB) (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
Competency based interview. 2 rounds - virtually. First round only 15 minutes. Second round about an hour. They want you to use the STAR method for answering questions. 1 person on the first interview, and 3 people on the second interview. Need to put a bit of study/prep into the interviews so you have your answers aligned with the STAR method. They give you a breakdown of what type of questions to expect before hand.
Only big issue I would have is ESB don't give feedback on interviews (because they are too busy they say). Which means if you don't get offered the role you effectively come away not learning a whole lot - other than getting some interviewing practice in
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What interests you in the role?
Salary expectations?
And the the competency based questions.
