I applied online. Took about 4 weeks for them to call me in for an interview (sounded last minute, probably because they ran out of other candidates). I was extremely qualified for the position which is the only reason I applied for it. Went straight in for a board interview. Beware if you are unfamiliar with these kinds of interviews. Three people interviewing you, asking a series of questions counter clock wise plus two HR people in the room. They take notes - but the HR people are there to observe your behavior so try not to be nervous. Everyone is quiet and very awkward. And not when They are taking notes on your answers - but inbetween that also. They offer you water. Depending on how well spoken you are - interview could take 45min to an hour as the questions are quite extensive. Mine started quite late which was very unprofessional. Despite this the interview went extremely well and they seemed very interested in me. They were just a little off which was weird. I expected a warm, professional environment not a cold harsh meeting that Felt like a termination. I interviewed several weeks ago and haven't heard back- which is also very unprofessional. Not even an email response saying I didn't get the job. Considering I took time out of my day, drove all the way there from the north side of COLOSPRGS, and manuvered the traffic and parking downtown just for the interview I felt this practice was even more out of place and not what should be expected of a government institution. One last thing is that I was interviewing for a temp position. The temp positions here are only 90 days which is unusual and are not to fill a permanent position. Pay is average if not a little low - no benefits.
