I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Egnyte (Mountain View, CA) in Feb 2021
Interview
Recruiting coordinator reached out on LI with a remote WFH opportunity.
Standard process. 1st call with RC then 2nd call with HM. Spoke about sales experience, what motivates you, etc etc.
Was asked to do an assessment test and RC will let you know if you go to 2nd round. Reason for the big thumbs down is its been 3 weeks and despite 2 email inquiries nobody has gotten back.
Candidate experience is extremely poor. Lack of communication and follow up. The bay area is super competitive and if you treat candidates like this I can't imagine what it's like to be a FTE. Thanks but no thanks.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Day to day process. What makes you successful at your current role.
phone call with recruiter, phone call with team member, phone call with group head, then a software demo that you must build out along with a presentation. Feels like they are fishing for ideas, condescending in nature. They will waste your time.

Question 1
How would you create an impetus for moving a deal forward?
We always welcome feedback, as we are continuously improving our interview process and candidate experience. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
The process was straightforward and aligned well with expectations for this level. There were around five stages, including a panel presentation as one of the key components. I also had the opportunity to meet with a team member, who provided insights into daily responsibilities and challenges, and answered any questions I had.

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Egnyte (Reading, England) in Apr 2022
Interview
Interview was fairly standard, met with a few members of team, generally enjoyable discussions. 1 of the team I met was quite rude and arrogant, they seem to be a 1 off though.
