I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Eemits Communications in Apr 2024
Interview
I had a rough interview experience with Eemits.
I was first told about the position via a recruiter - she was really lovely and helped me prepare for the role as best as I could.
First, I was requested to send Eemits a 1 minute video introducing myself to them - to be completed on the same day I was told about it. After this video was sent off, I was then requested to come in for an ‘informal’ interview in a couple of days time.
This was less like an interview and more like a grilling session. I was expected to know the ins and outs of the company, and was asked how many hours I spent researching them. If you’re wanting to apply, then make sure you’re prepared to spend hours looking into this company.
The interview was anything but informal. One of the interviewers spent plenty of time ripping into both my CV and my career path - he poked holes everywhere. I left the interview close to tears. I was told they were looking for a graduate to fill this role, but the expectations they had of me were far beyond that.
One strange thing I noticed was how the interviewer told me he expected me to ask what happened to the person who was previously in the role I was applying for. He wanted to make it clear that people ‘only leave the company for good reasons’. Now, looking at the reviews on here, I understand why he tried to push this narrative so much.
After this, I never heard back from them. Completely ghosted. Really unprofessional experience.

Interview
Having read some of the reviews on this page I have to disagree massively. I thought the full interview process from start to finish was smooth and this is thanks to both the recruiter and the interviewers. Firstly, I was contacted by a recruiter she was lovely, in comparison to other messages I have had (from other recruiters and or companies). Whilst I appreciate that it is essentially ' her job to be nice' in my opinion she went above and beyond in regard to supporting me from answering messages and calls in none-work hours to helping me prep for the interview. I was also asked to conduct a 1-minute video, I thought this was a reasonable request especially in comparison to some of the tasks my friends have had to do prior an interview. For example, one friend of mine spent days completing different aptitude and personality tests only to be rejected weeks later. I believe that whilst in the job application process time is very valuable and the time wasted completing these tests could have been used more effectively applying for other jobs. To summarise, 1 minute video is not a big ask! Such video was a necessity in respect to the nature of the job spec (a marketing executive needs to be comfortable talking to a camera). I then arranged an interview and initially was a nervous wreck who wouldn't be. I was pleasantly surprised by the nature of the interview after a short while the interviewers made me feel at ease and I would have to say I did think of it more as an informal chat. Furthermore, whilst I did research the company prior and 'knew my stuff' I found that there was one question in which I simply froze rather than making me feel stupid or awkwardly waiting for me to answer the interviewers politely moved on and changed the topic they essentially 'saved' me in terms of nerves/anxiety. As a result of this, I was able to answer the following informal questions appropriately, it really was more of an informal chat we even shared a few laughs at stories from previous experiences. I genuinely cannot fault the recruiter nor the interviewers one bit. Whilst I was successful on my own merit, I could not have got the Job without the support, I have since been at the company two weeks and so far, so good. It was portrayed that the company culture is great and after being here for 2 weeks I can confirm it is , I feel like a very valued employee and have received nothing but respect and support. Thank you Eemits :)
