I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Edwards and Ward (Crowborough, England) in Jan 2020
Interview
I was invited to a face-to-face interview at their Head Office in Crowborough after applying online. I had difficulty finding the office and felt the interview invitation should have been more clear as to how to find them. It was a 1:1 interview where I was asked typical questions i.e. describe a typical day, how do you manage your workload, why have I applied, salary etc. The interviewer had other CVs on the desk which I did not find very professional. My advice would be to prepare better for interviews, e.g. I was asked twice about what I enjoyed about my qualification that I currently studying for and found this confusing. Also try not to ask leading questions and close ended questions i.e. do you have experience in training someone before? No?
Overall it was a neutral experience. I was told I would hear back at the end of the week. I emailed last thing on Friday after expecting a phone call and was told by email that I had been unsuccessful. I did ask for feedback but did not receive any. My advice would therefore be to always provide candidates with feedback and to call rather than emailing them after they have taken the time to prepare, interview etc.
