There were two interviews. The first one was a one-on-one interview with the hiring manager. It was positive and interesting with some good interview questions. The second one was with the hiring manager and another member of the editorial team. The second interview was also interesting and positive and pleasant. However, there was no transparency to the interview process, there were some mixed messages, and it left me feeling messed around. For example, the hiring manager said that there may even be four rounds of interviews, which is truly extraordinary and inefficient. The day after my second interview, I got a message that it went really positively, and then the day after that, I heard that another candidate had been successful. That is fine, and happens very commonly. However, several weeks later I received a message asking if I was still interested in the job and if I was available for a chat. I was confused and asked for more details, and it turned out that they wanted me to interview for a different job they had available in Edco. As it had at that point been four months since I first made contact with Edco, I said I was not available for yet another interview. All in all, I would say the the interview process was a negative one, given how slow and drawn out it was and how little transparency there was. However, the interviews themselves were perfectly fine.
