I was asked by a representative on LinkedIn for help, as the agency wanted support with SEO. I had a meeting with them and we agreed I'd put together a proposal to send over, which I did. Then they just ghosted me. I sent them a follow-up email, but they ignored that as well. I'd seen the agency's Glassdoor reviews by then, so knew there wouldn't be a response. Hopefully other professionals will do an advance check to avoid this situation.
It's very disappointing when a business does this. On a basic professionalism front, it was very poor dealing with them. They ghost your emails after reaching out for help, yet have no problem taking your ideas for free. To note - if you treat professionals with respect (e.g. responding to emails) your reviews will improve.
