      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Eastman in Sept 2025

      Interview

I got an interview from on campus career fair for a full time role. The first round was behavioral questions that were highly specific in my opinion. The interviewer was very friendly though. STAR method was expected. I did not make it to the second (and final) round, but I was told that it is a virtual technical interview with a panel of engineers.

      Question 1

They asked something along the lines of "explain a time when there were multiple theories and how did you go about finding the truth"

I had a very fun interview process. They were all very nice and chill even when I was nervous. I appreciated how friendly they were even after a long and tiring week of career fairs.

      Kingsport, TN
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Eastman (Kingsport, TN) in Aug 2020

      Interview

I interviewed with Eastman after taking part in a summer program with the company. Before the interview itself, I had to prepare a presentation (~5 min long) detailing some of my experiences, hobbies, and accomplishments. The interview itself was a panel with 4 employees who were part of the hiring process. They were friendly, but the interview was intense. If I ever gave a general answer in the interview, they always asked me to be more specific or give an example, which was difficult to do with some of their more difficult questions. I could tell that it didn't go great, as I struggled with some of the questions; I didn't have the best experiences to provide examples for. They said they would get back to me within 3 months regardless of their answer. I found out I didn't get the job by seeing others accepting their offers on LinkedIn. About a month after that, they finally sent me a rejection by email.
