What started off as a very pleasent process turned into the most confusing and unprofessional experience of my career. A very disappointing and sad experience. After successfully progressing through a 3 stage interview within the space of just over a week, i was offered a job. Part 2 of this stage is a task brief. I was told i impressed with how i completed the task to such a level it would be used internally for a live job (Not aware if this did actually happen or not!). After brief negotionations through a recruiter (something i would consider as standard procedure when offered a job) i very gladly accepted their offer. 5 days later after spending the weekend celebrating the news of having verbally accepted a new job and being told the contract was being pulled together, this offer was withdrawn under the pretense that my skill set and portfolio didn't match the salary offered. After further questioning it would seem Ernest were personally offended by my choice to negotiate the initial offer despite being offered well below what the job was advertised at. Hopefully they have learnt from this experience and this doesn't happen to anyone else.
