      Funnel designer Interview

      31 Mar 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ENTRE Institute (New York, NY) in Mar 2023

      Interview

The hiring process goes: 1. Recruiter via Zoom 2. Written Assessment 3. Hiring Manager 4. Team Group Interview (Culture Fit) I made it past the recruiter and was offered a written assessment and I decided to stop pursuing this opportunity. I understand that culture fit is super important, but please be wary of the "cool hip" startup. They act like everybody's friend with unlimited PTO and remote work, then they think it's okay to nitpick in order to undermine candidates. I have three years of experience and was excited to share my knowledge during the interview. However, the recruiter criticized me for "speaking too formally" and wearing a blazer to the interview. Never in my life was I criticized negatively for being too prepared. No, I will not stop being prepared and properly dressed for interviews just because of this one interaction. I will give them credit, they were fast-moving during the process and transparent. (But the pay is way too low). But that's pretty much it.
