Received outreach request via LinkedIn from recruiter representing DuraVent. Agreed to initial screening via Teams. Recruiter joined the meeting 25 minutes late and offered the weakest reasoning and excuse for an apology I've ever encountered. Nonetheless, proceeded with the initial screening discussion about the job they reached out to me about. Recruiter had next to no insight on the role, very little specifics, no job description drafted that they could share - instead mentioning it's something they're working on... Zero insight on organizational structure, goals, reporting relationships, growth opportunities, team sizes, anything. Provided a hypothetical idea of salary, noting that they're not yet certain on that. No idea why they even reached out to me then other than to waste my time and use this recruiter approach to gather actual market insights for whenever they might actually intend to fill the job. What a joke. Recruiter (like most) should be ashamed of their profession. DuraVent should reconsider this unprofessional, unbecoming approach as it only reflects poorly on them as a company.
