I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Dubizzle (Dubai) in Jun 2023
Interview
I applied for senior software engineer position but recruiter emailed me for juinior position for an experienced professional with 6+ years of experience. This shows the that how unprofessional the recruiter was. Anyhow I still attempted the test which was 3 hours long. My test was perfect, I solved every coding problem with optimal solution. And then after a few days I got email that management has reviewed my code ans has shortlisted me for the interview process. Now the fun part begins. The recruiter scheduled a 30 mins interview with her. When the interview started the recruiter wanted to review my profile, I couldn't understand why is she evaulating my profile on interview when I have everything written on my CV and LinkedIn profile. My profile shouldn't had been selected for the test phase at all. This shows that recruiter didn't even took time to look at my profile. Well, I answered all of her questions and then she told that she will share my profile with the hiring manager, if he likes my profile then I will get the call for interview.
And then she ghosted me. I didn't hear back from her even after I sent follow up email.
The worst thing is that I was contacted back after one month and I was told that the recruiter will continue with the next phase and I will have my interviews after EID holidays. So I sacrificed my Eid holidays for interview preperation. After Eid one month passed and I still never heard back from the recruiter even after follow up emails.
I would not recommend any experienced person to waste their time for such company. Even if they hire you, who knows how they treat their employees or what low compensation they offer you or take back the offer saying that your profile is not right fit for the role. If a company cannot value the skills, experience and time of a candidate then this shows the pethatic culture of that company. And you should certainly refrain from such companies.

Interview
HR reached out and had a conversation, It was friendly. The technical interview was difficult. I could not pass. But interactions were great overall. The technical interviewer did provide good feedback about what I could improve on and that I am welcome to apply again. Look forward to working with them in the future.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Dubizzle (Dubai) in Jan 2019
Interview
The interview process was long but the questions asked in the interviews were ridiculously basic.
1. A pdf file was provided with code that was to be refactored. The file URL was needlessly converted into a QR code. Apparently, the candidates are supposed to 'crack' this code.
2. It was followed by a 6-hour long hackerrank test with extremely simple coding questions and a diagram exercise to test your knowledge about microservices. Ironically, their own infrastructure violates a few very basic principles of microservices architecture.
3. Pair programming interview with one of the Senior Engineers on the team. The questions were pretty generic like mutable arguments for functions and multiple inheritance.
4. Interview with Head of Product & Engineering. This interview didn't feel much more than an HR interview. There were no questions to gauge my understanding of Software engineering.
5. An online questionnaire for personality assessment.
6. HR interview with your average HR questions.
7. Another tech interview with one of the team leads where he went through my solutions to the coding problems in the previous interview. The interview was super easy and I had to proactively engage and get the interviewer to ask me questions related to advanced python.
An interview for a mid-level python position should not be this easy. It sets the wrong precedent and doesn't properly indicate to the candidate the type of work they would be doing.
