I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Drizly in Apr 2022
Interview
Drizly reached out to me, and we had the usual introductory call. They said the role doesn't require coding but they require Eng Mgrs to take a coding test before even speaking with a Hiring Manager. Very unusual, but... ok. I took the coding test and passed in the allotted time, so I assumed I'd move to the next round. I was wrong.
I was subsequently told that Drizly wouldn't be moving forward with me because of an "imbalance between my tech leadership and coding experience" (huh?). I don't know what that even means, but I know I passed the test (the tool they use clearly says whether you pass or fail).
I can only assume they didn't like that I took nearly the entire allotted time to complete the test, because my solutions were efficient ( O(n) ). But this is for an Eng Mgr role, not an SWE. If they want the test done more quickly than the time they allot, then they should shorten the allotted time.

Question 1
Coding test -- I agreed not to say what the questions were, but it's typical algorithmic stuff.
