Interview
I went through three rounds of interviews for a role, and everyone I spoke with was perfectly pleasant. Each conversation was polite and positive, and I appreciated the team’s professionalism during the process.
That said, the structure of the interviews felt misaligned with the eventual outcome. The conversations were almost entirely focused on culture fit, communication style, and cross-functional collaboration. There were no targeted questions about the core skills required for the role or the specific expertise they said they were evaluating.
After completing all three rounds, I was told the team decided “the fit wasn’t ideal for the business right now,” but no concrete feedback was offered. It’s disappointing to invest significant time, prepare thoroughly, and have multiple conversations without receiving any specific insight into what was missing or what led to the decision.
Overall, everyone was kind, but the process could be improved by providing candidates with clearer expectations about what each interview will assess and offering meaningful feedback after multiple rounds.

Interview
Started out with a call with a technical recruiter, who was very nice and helpful. Had an engineering interview with two very senior engineers. The engineering interview didn't have any coding, just talking through how I'd implement something. Essentially a lite systems design interview. After that, it was talking to two executives and negotiating the offer. Their offer was quite a lowball offer.
