I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DraftKings in Feb 2023
Interview
Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn, followed by a quick call about the role. The recruiter was nice and helped, somewhat, with what the hiring manager was looking for. An interview was set up the following week. The interview with the hiring manager was half what I expected and half not. It sounded like they were trying to find an experienced Data Analyst disguised as a Program Manager to perhaps pay them less than industry standard (not sure why a program manager would need to understand how to data model..). The interviewer seemed sleepy and disengaged since the very start of the call. Right after, I knew I did not want to work on that team or for that manager. DraftKings should be more honest with candidates and set appropriate expectations.

Question 1
What experience do you have with data modeling? What is the tech stack like at your company?
