      Game Designer Interview

      23 Sept 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Dr. Panda in Aug 2019

      Interview

After a test that took me a couple of days, I received an answer just the following day to have a Skype interview with the Lead Designer via. The interviewer was friendly and made me feel welcome. Some questions were the typical about my competence as a Designer, my career achievements or my predisposition towards teamwork, but many others were about how I felt about moving to China. After a couple of weeks without news on their end, I emailed the HR department and they told me that the position had suffered some changes and it was on hold for the time being.

      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Dr. Panda in Jun 2016

      Interview

I sent out an email to apply for an internship position as a game designer. This position was listed on my university's website as a company contact for an internship. Within 3 days I got a response and I was asked to make a game design test. After completing the test, I had 2 skype interviews. The first interview was with the lead designer and the HR contact I had my email exchange with before. This interview was about what kind of game designer I am and what my interests are. The second interview was with one of the company's higher-ups. This interview was about how my general work ethic and attitude was about.
