The interview was awful and completely unprofessional. From the very beginning, all the basic elements of a proper interview were missing: no questions about who I am, what kind of person I am, how I work, or what motivates me. It barely felt like an interview at all.
The contract offer was equally unacceptable: a 0-hour contract for 8 months, meaning they only call you when they need you and then leave you at home for long periods, especially during winter. That kind of setup is unstable, disrespectful, and shows very little regard for employees’ time or commitment.
The practical test was also badly handled. I was asked to make a cocktail to prove my skills, but the bar was in a disgusting state: dirty, disorganized, and clearly not ready for service, which was supposedly already supposed to be set up. That left a terrible impression of the workplace and the overall management.
On top of that, the assistant manager who interviewed me, came across as unprofessional, making passive-aggressive and sarcastic comments about my work experience. Even by email, her communication was far too informal and unprofessional, almost as if she were texting a friend instead of speaking to a candidate.
The salary was ridiculous for the level of responsibility expected. Overall, this was a disappointing and frustrating experience, with poor organization, poor communication, and very little respect for the candidate.
