      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at DoorDash

      Interview

Recruiter reached out to schedule a phone screen, but missed the call and rescheduled. The second call was also missed. Then I was asked to provide additional availability, but never heard back again. Very unprofessional and disorganized, lack of communication throughout the process.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at DoorDash (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2025

      Interview

The DoorDash recruiter reached out a month after having applied to the role. There were 4 stages to the interview process. They were as follows: 1. Recruiter screen 2. Zoom interview with the hiring manager 3. Assignment/case study, which shouldn’t take more than “5 hours” (if the project knocked the hiring manager’s socks off), you’d move to 4. A panel interview I went through the entirety of the interview process. A week and a half of silence goes by, post the panel interview. I followed up with the recruiter (earlier in the week for an update) and I got nothing. I received an automated email stating that the team and decided to move forward with another candidate. The recruiter didn’t have the courtesy to provide a personalized response to my follow-up email? The lack of communication during the interview process was definitely a red flag for me. It left me feeling like a number vs a human with a beating heart and a brain. But with the constant org shifts and turnover, who’d want to work for them anyway? I definitely dodged a bullet.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at DoorDash (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2026

      Interview

They prioritize internal hires. Asked many technical questions about campaigns and reporting. They are particular about presenting those reports and creating actionable insights from them. It's easier to get an interview if you have a referral from someone internal.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

      I interviewed at DoorDash

      Interview

Met with the recruiter, hiring manager, and three cross-functional team members, and completed a project that took several days, only to receive a canned rejection email. Most conversations emphasized how “dynamic” the company was and its need for someone who could manage constant change and chaos, which came across more as disorganized than exciting.
