I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dollar Tree (Brooklyn, NY) in Jul 2014
Interview
the interview was quick and easy there were no hard questions to answer, mostly about prior experience. Applied for overnight stock, however there were no other positions so had to be a cashier. Customers were generally rude and condescending, employers began to take me for granted while I had the most drive. Real headache to work for.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Dollar Tree (Idaho Springs, CO) in Aug 2024
Interview
Very fast, simple background check ... The process was fast and very professional. I got a verification in my email within the next 3 days. And also you have to get your own green T-shirt and back brace if needed
Dude was super lazy during the interview. Seemed like he would have accepted anyone. It did not make me feel like I was needed. That was my reason for decline their offer.
It was my first experience at trying to get a low-end sales position. I was enthusiastic but the Hiring Manager was interested in a temp doing a lot of physical work moving inventory, not a sales associate working the floor. She might have hired me if I would have wanted the position.
