I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Dollar General (Detroit, MI) in Jul 2015
Interview
one on one, that's it, then the offer, which had to be accepted online. It was all very simple, no thrills.
The interviewer was new to the retail world and the interview it self was somewhat painfully boring, as they only read off of a printed sheet. After the offer, I did not get a starting date for quite awhile, and the drug test was over an hour away from where I live....that should have been where I declined their offer.
I interviewed at Dollar General (Lawrenceburg, TN)
Interview
I was interviewed over the phone and given the job on that same call. Company is fairly desperate for employees but they prefer people with experience especially previous dollar store experience.
Phone Call that lasted less than 5 minutes , and not a lot of details given. Text messages exchanged back and forth about interviews , and hearing from corporate office.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Dollar General (Milton, WV) in May 2022
Interview
The interview process was very straightforward they asked my availability anytime that I needed off any specific days I needed off. They asked about my experience as an assistant store manager and regular team lead. They did the normal what if this scenario happened what would you do. The interview was very easy but they did receive a lot of information from me
