I applied online. I interviewed at Dolby in Mar 2024
Interview
About six weeks after applying online a recruiter reached out to schedule a phone screening.
Recruiter missed the screening and was condescending as if I was at fault due to being in a different time zone. Meeting with the hiring manager was great, he was very kind and welcoming. Seems like a great manager to work with! The interview was mostly an opportunity to tell the manager about skills that qualify me for the job. Not many direct questions were asked throughout the interview so my advice would be to practice humble bragging. I ended up getting ghosted which made my experience with the recruitment team less positive.

Question 1
Any experience creating testbenches? If so what was it for?
The interview went very smoothly; they asked about experience and availability, and talked about the company and the job. Questions about their knowledge of the company and technology were in English, with the rest being in their native language.

Question 1
Where did you encounter the use of our technologies?
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Dolby (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2025
Interview
Process was easy. University recruiter reached out to schedule interviews. Had phone screen, hiring manager interview, and interview with team. They said they would get back with decisions the week after the last interview. HR was extremely disorganized and forgot to send a decision. After I reminded them about where I stood in the process, I received an unprofessional email.
