The process was reasonably quick and enjoyable.. until the last step. I interviewed with an external recruiter, then interviewed with the Software Engineering team, there was also a technical interview, an interview with the hiring manager, and one with the CEO. Ultimately I received a verbal offer, I accepted and then (a week later) they said they hired a different individual in a different position and were rescinding the offer. They hinted that despite it was a remote role, it was helpful this other individual could come into the office more often than I could.
