      Audio Editor Interview

      1 Jul 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Doing Things (Los Angeles, CA) in Jul 2023

      Interview

I was contacted via email for an interview. When the scheduled time arrived, they asked to conduct the interview via chat. The interviewer took nine minutes to ask their first question, which was why I would be interested in working in a profession that I had already spent several successful decades in. The second question revealed that the interviewer had no understanding of the role, and it was also obvious that they had done no research on me. The term "Audio Editor" is quite broad. I finally requested the interviewer to define the position. The interviewer was unresponsive after two questions, from 16 minutes to 32 minutes, at which time I could see them typing. After 40 minutes, I finally received a canned response. Doing Things Media does not value their potential candidates' time. I wish I had declined the interview request.

Hi There. Unfortunately, this was a fraudulent job posting & scam interview. We were made aware of the situation and contacted LinkedIn and the appropriate channels to disable the fraudulent account. We have never had a job posting/opening for an Audio Editor role. Any communication would only come from a doingthings.com email address (we do not use .jobs, .careers, etc.). We apologize for the inconvenience this caused you & wish you the best of luck in your job search!
