      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Doctors Care (Myrtle Beach, SC)

      Interview

All the people I talked to in the front office were super nice, but I can tell that management is so toxic. The manager left the door open during our conversation which would usually be fine except this individual took any and every opportunity to LOUDLY complain about how lazy and unmotivated the staff was. Needless to say I was mortified because at the time I didn’t want my future coworkers to think I was actually contributing to this conversation. As we continued, it felt like I was interviewing at a corporation rather than a medical practice. They operate with the mentality of “the patient is always right” in hopes of getting better reviews and they will throw you under the bus to fix it rather than backing you up. I was told that I would be in trouble if I didn’t notify management of an unsatisfied patient. I’m assuming they want to call the patient to try and fix the situation before they post a negative google review? Which is insane. I never got a call back, not that I would’ve accepted it. But I’m posting this because urgent cares are really important in healthcare, especially when it takes a month to get in with your primary. Doctors Care, you really need to re-evaluate your business model.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why do you want to work here? How do you handle conflict type questions?
      Answer question
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Doctors Care (West Columbia, SC) in Aug 2014

      Interview

I was called in for an interview with the reginal manager. I was sent straight over to a center manager for a second interview. Both interviews were very casual and we laughed together. All I had to wait on was my background to come back before I could take my drug test and do my orientation. Which took over a month.
