Long, drawn out, and completely lacking transparency from start to finish. 6 (six!!!) rounds of interviews plus a technical challenge later, I was rejected at the final stage.
What really bothers me is not even the rejection itself. It is what came after. I reached out to the TA Lead, who repeatedly emphasized how âtransparentâ the process supposedly is, and asked for specific feedback on where I fell short. Instead of actual insight, I was told that due to âGerman lawsâ they cannot provide the real reason for the rejection, and that I should have used a previous meeting to ask my questions. The only problem is that this âopportunity to ask questionsâ apparently existed before they even informed me I was being rejected. So that explanation doesnât really hold up.
At that point, the âtransparencyâ claim starts to feel more like branding than reality. If feedback cannot be shared after 6 rounds of evaluation, then it is hard to take the process seriously or feel it was conducted in good faith.
From my experience, this does not feel like a clear or respectful hiring process. It feels like a polished surface hiding confusion underneath. I would think twice before investing time here.
