Interview
I applied through my university. A few days later I received a call from the HR department to schedule an interview. I met with HR manager and two department managers. Very easy interview, briefly discussed my interests, resume and what I wanted to obtain from my internship. I was offered the internship on that same day.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Discovery, Inc. in Apr 2019
Interview
I applied online, spoke to the recruiter, had a phone screen with the hiring manager, conducted a RFP assignment, which was followed by an in-person interview to present the assignment and meet with the direct team.
Overall, it was a slow moving process, which I understand but recruiter was poor at communicating next steps. The hiring manager was very uninterested at being in the interview and had no questions for me so I asked a handful. It must not be the most inspiring place to work when you can't think of one reason why you enjoy working at Discovery. If you're going to have candidates spend time on a assignment/presentation, you should be providing feedback on the interviews (I was assured that my presentation and thought-process was aligned with how they execute).
