I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Dillard's (Oklahoma City, OK) in May 2014
Interview
Applied online then received a call within the next couple of days. Interviewed in store next opportunity I got and was offered the job on the spot. In store interview consisted of two managers one after the other and took less then an hour all together. The first manager seemed to give the base interview questions then left for a little to discuss. Then the second manager came in with mainly paper work and job details as if the decision was already made.

Question 1
How would you react if you had completed a difficult task, but didn't get recognized for it?
Standard interview, quite short (20 minutes) for the first round. Asked about past experience, sales skills, expected pay, and my future goals at the company. Interviewers were very nice and welcoming, made the experience much less intimidating!
Not sure what to expect. When I spoke to the manager it felt very condescending and off putting. The interview was fine but they exaggerated the amount of commission associates can make and didn’t even give me a chance to agree to a job offer just assumed that I would take it. I don’t have very high hopes about how it will be working there. When I came in for my interview one associate didn’t even greet me like she did the last customer and the energy of the atmosphere just felt super dull and soulless. I need this job on my resume as a fashion business student for internships so I’ll push through but not at all optimistic about the work environment.
