I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at DigitalOcean (Austin, TX) in Feb 2021
Interview
Really enjoyed the interview process. Much more conversational and less formal than the typical 4-5 interview onsite with several coding rounds. Rounds included:
- teamwork, collaboration, remote work
- architecture and system design
- diagnostics and troubleshooting
- distributed systems
Everyone I interacted with was smart and very friendly. Unfortunately, they made me an "exploding offer" with less than a week deadline. I declined because I had other offers that I was waiting on.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at DigitalOcean (Hyderābād) in Jan 2025
Interview
Interview went well they asked questions based on the resume. However after interviewer failed to communicate what was interviewed. I said things outside resume as it felt like he was talking about others resume.
6 Rounds total, with one recruiter screen and 5 technical conversation style (no coding interview) interviews. No behavioral or system-design, which was expected for this role. Everybody was very friendly and knowledgeable. The recruiter was pleasant and helpful.
