FIrst interview phone screen.
Expected second call with lead, then panel interview.
I was told "the team has already looked through your portfolio and resume and we will call you next week to schedule the second interview.
Then crickets.
I followed up by email and then received a boilerplate rejection letter.
Bottom line, it is highly unprofessional to string someone along with language like that and then ditch them. Had I not followed up I would likely have never heard from them.
Why tell someone they are moving to the next steps when they are not?
