I applied through LinkedIn. After submitting my application, I received an automatic invitation to take pymetrics. Pymetrics consists of several games, typically around 12 to 15 games that need to be completed within a specific deadline. For my case, I had two weeks to submit pymetrics. Kindly make sure that you complete pymetrics as soon as possible in order to be advanced to the next stage if successful. In addition to that, make sure that you are in a relaxed environment with good network connection while completing the assessment. Kindly note that once you hit the start button, you cannot abondon the test, if you do so you will not be able to go back and complete the assessment not unless the link is reset. I also recommend taking enough rest before the assessment , I suggest in the morning hours when you're still at your best although it depends. If successful the next stage is an on demand video interview via HireVue platform. I received an invitation to complete a HireVue interview that also had a specific deadline. Kindly make sure you complete this stage as soon as possible within the deadline to avoid disappointment since after the deadline the link will have expired. It was a one way interview where you record your responses to a series of specific questions provided by the hiring team. Before taking the interview, make sure you research Diageo, prepare by looking at their mission, values and some of their products. Also consider reflecting on your reasons or rather your motivations/passion for wanting to join Diageo, what you aspire to gain from the program and why you think you are just fit for the role. Industry specific knowledge is also critical at this point. Be aware of the recent developments within the industry which Diageo operates, basically both problems and opportunities for growth. The next important thing is to practice. Kindly practice recording your sample answers to a series of general interview questions such as"Why you applied to the program, what you want to gain and what you purpose to bring to the table/why you should be considered." Moreover, apply time management while recording your responses, I suggest limiting your responses to between 2-3 minutes long since depending on your program you might have only one chance to record your responses with no opportunity to re-record. Also be authentic, clear and straight to the point .Avoid rambling and make sure you are in a well lit room while recording the responses. I suggest investing in a good mic for clarity and ringlight if you for instance stay in a room with dark conditions. Consider taking the interview in a relaxed environment with no disruptions whatsoever. Remember practising makes you become confident, so go for it. For me, I thought I was a pro , but lol I remember going blank while recording my answers to one of the questions 😅 and trust me it wasn't a nice experience! So make sure you practice recording your responses before actually starting the main interview. You don't want to bomb yours, I believe. Mine had three questions, I'm still waiting for feedback from my HireVue. I haven't had back, although I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. Let's hope it goes well. Remember if things fall apart, keep going while learning from the experience. If it goes well ,I believe that the next stage will be an invitation to the Assessment Centre! All the best for those who have applied!
