I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Deutsche Bank in Feb 2026
Interview
The interview process lasted almost two months and included several stages. The technical interviews themselves were generally positive. The questions focused mostly on core Java concepts and basic distributed systems topics. The discussions were professional and the interviewers seemed satisfied with the answers.
During the final stage, the hiring manager expressed strong interest and mentioned that he hoped I would choose their team. Shortly after that, HR congratulated me on successfully completing the interview process and asked me to provide additional documents.
However, after all stages were completed and the requested documents were submitted, I was later informed that the team decided not to proceed with an offer. No salary range had been discussed during the process, and no alternative proposal or opportunity for negotiation was provided.
Overall, the experience felt confusing from a candidate perspective. Being congratulated on completing the interviews and being asked for documents created the clear expectation that an offer would follow. The final decision not to proceed with an offer after a two-month process and such signals was disappointing and lacked transparency.

I applied online. I interviewed at Deutsche Bank in Feb 2020
Interview
I had a situational judgment test and I couldn't pass. It was harder than I expected. I found some online resources but the actual text was way harder than what I saw online. The comments here made me think it is easy but honestly, some questions really didn't make sense to me.
