I applied online. I interviewed at Department for Work And Pensions (Swansea, Wales) in Feb 2022
Interview
Interview was conducted via Microsoft Teams which you are able to book yourself on a date/time which gives a lot of flexibility. Questions were a mixture of behaviour and strength style questions. The behaviour questions were already outlined on the job description which allows you to sufficiently prepare for the interview. The strength based questions were not listed but are quite easy to respond to.

Interview
Fairly standard civil service interview, was asked behavioural and strengths based questions based on the the behaviours and strengths in the job description. Use STAR etc.
The interviewers were nice and made me feel welcome and calm the nerves a bit, and asked follow up questions when necessary to get more details on the answers and help you get a higher score.

Interview
First you take a customer service skills test and your score on that will determine if you go through to the next stage. Afterward, upon filling out your personal details, you're also asked to write a 250 word paragraph demonstrating a time when you delivered a quality service to others.
If successful at both those points, you will be invited to interview - its 2 people who've worked in your department for a period of time, and you need to demonstrate when you've managed a quality service, communicated and influenced others effectively, and when you've made effective decisions. You'll be scored out of 7 on each of those answers.
