I had a great first interview, but the second interview with the Regional Manager, Cliff, was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. He began the conversation by threatening me, stating that if I lied, he would find out. From there, the interview took a very personal and invasive turn.
He asked extremely detailed questions about my childhood, family background, relationships, schooling, and even girlfriends going back to elementary, middle, and high school—none of which were relevant to the position. At no point in the interview did we discuss the actual job, the company, or anything related to sales or qualifications.
As a 45-year-old professional with years of experience, I’ve never encountered an interview like this. The questions were not only inappropriate but crossed a line into being uncomfortable and borderline interrogative. I nearly walked out.
I brought my concerns to the Director of Regional Sales, Mike Lipchik, who, unfortunately, dismissed them by saying they "just have a different interview process." Based on this experience, I would strongly caution others before applying. This was not a standard interview—it felt intrusive, unprofessional, and frankly disturbing.
