Interview Process at Dentsu
At Dentsu, our interview process typically involves three rounds.
Initial Screening:
We begin by reviewing the candidate’s CV — often created using AI tools — to understand their background and experience.
Portfolio Presentation & Case Study Review:
In this round, candidates are asked to present their portfolio, walk through case studies, and demonstrate their problem-solving approach. We assess their understanding of design systems, awareness of current design trends, clarity in articulating their process, and passion for design. This stage also includes a Q&A session about their design journey and key projects.
Task & Final Discussion:
The final round usually involves a small design task followed by a discussion on the approach and rationale.
We generally prefer candidates with a formal design education — a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, especially from institutes like NID, IIT, MIT-ID, or Srishti — as this provides the academic grounding and technical rigor we look for. Candidates without a design background are usually not considered, as our work demands a deep understanding of design fundamentals and methodology.
