      Flight Attendant Interview

      31 Jan 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines in Jan 2016

      Interview

I applied for Delta Air Lines on 01/07/2016. A requirement for the interview is a successful completion of two personality assessments after submission of your application and resume. Make sure you have 10 years of employment and residency history documented and all unemployment periods accounted for. This is part of the application process. On 01/13/2016 I received my invitation to conduct a one-sided video interview for submission and consideration. I completed the interview that night. Business suit, clean shaven, hair gelled and neat, and teeth white. You want to make an impression and show your viewers of the video interview what you may look like as an actual Flight Attendant. The interview consisted of five STAR format behavioral questions and three policy questions. Unfortunately for me, I was not as prepared as I thought for the five questions and did not make it past for the Face to Face Interviews in Atlanta. On top of that, in the middle of answering the third question, my webcam crashed! I received my Thanks But No Thanks email on 01/22/2016 and can reapply for the position on 07/07/2016 if there is an open position under a new requisition number. Other threads have the five STAR behavioral questions posted. Answer them with the mindset of a Floght Attendant. You may want to invest in guides at becoming a Flight Attendant BEFORE applying, submitting your resume, publishing a cover letter, etc. I bought mine for $15 after my video interview with Delta and now know EXACTLY where I messed up in my answers I submitted. I have applied with a regional carrier and am going to an open session interview at the end of February. Contingent on successful completion of the interview and training leading to hiring of this regional carrier will determine whether or not I reapply with Delta. I may like it at a regional carrier more than a mainline carrier.

      Interview

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.
