      Delta Flight Attendant Interview

      29 Jul 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Atlanta, GA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Jul 2022

      Interview

      1. Took Talent Assessment on-line questionnaire and heard back within a week 2. Got an invitation to do a Skype type interview with two flight attendants who were incredibly friendly and the process was smooth and enjoyable. 3. Got invited to attend face to face interview in Atlanta Georgia within 2 weeks. I did a TON of research and preparation for this face to face interview. I dressed EXACTLY how others advised me to dress. I wore my hair up and pulled back, I wore a black professional suit with nylons and flight attendant shoes at recommended heel size. I wore minimal makeup and had my nails manicured. I toned down my fake eyelash size so they appeared to be more natural.. Someone in the airport thought I worked as a flight attendant when they asked me for directions. I took that as a good sign. I arrived an hour early to the interview and there were several other candidates there already. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We all chatted with each other and we all had huge smiles on our faces. They broke us into groups and we rotated during our face to face interviews, group interviews, and setting up a cart activity. I tried to talk with a couple of FAs during the breaks but also needed to use the restroom during these times so didn't bounce around I guess as much as I should have. At any rate, I honestly have NO idea why I was not chosen. If it is true that they eliminate people by calling your name first then that means that I was eliminated quickly because I was called out in the second group. I really wish that they would let you know your score or where you fell short because how are you supposed to improve if you decide to apply again down the road or to another airline? I didn't feel a huge connection from my face to face interview. The woman who interviewed me was very stoic despite my attempts to connect with her. The group activity was bizarre because it is unclear what is expected of you. I advised my team to not include the peanuts on the cart because the form said that someone had a peanut allergy on the plane. When I was asked at the end why I didn't include the peanuts I said it was because I wanted to avoid a medical emergency on the plane. I have no idea if that was the correct response. I would like to know which candidates actually made it in. It would be nice to know who was accepted from my group, how many of us, and what made them stand out. If anyone is reading this and has successfully been accepted and can give some insight into this, that would be very helpful because I really thought I did everything right. The rejection is VERY hard to swallow. Good luck if you are reading this and please share your journey with us!

      Interview

There are two assessments before the first self-recorded video interview. The first is the values assessment. The second is the virtual job tryout where they ask situational questions and you have to answer which is the most likely response and least likely response.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2025

      Interview

Applied in early September 2024. Was moved to the test assessment/ video interview in late October 2024. Found out early December 2024 that I got the in person interview and it is scheduled for early January 2025!!! It has taken a lot of patience but has given me ample time to get ready and feel prepared. The test assessment was fairly simple, took maybe 30 minutes. They do test your listening and memorization so pay close attention to directions. Video interview was 5 questions where I had 6 attempts to answer each question in 3 minutes or less. I've been watching a ton of flight attendant vlogs and I've done 3 mock interviews to get ready for my in person event day. Wish me luck! My advice to anyone applying for ANY flight attendant position: 1. safety is the most important thing! Try tying everything back to safety 2. Avoid the standard "I love people. I love travel" answers. Dig deeper!! 3. Learn more about the company. There are so many airlines out there. You might align with one company's mission and values but not another.
