      Flight Attendant Interview

      2 Feb 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines in Jan 2015

      Interview

I applied for Delta through the Delta website in January 2015. Two days later from the date of my application submission I received an email requesting that I complete a recorded interview within three days otherwise I would no longer be considered as an applicant; therefore, I completed my application two days later. Once I submitted my interview I was informed that they would review my video but due to the large number of applicants the timeframe was unknown. Exactly one week later I received an email informing me that my interview had been reviewed and they wanted to proceed with the next step so they asked me to complete a second recorded interview in order to complete a language assessment. Once again they asked me to complete my recorded interview within three days (I submitted mine 2 days later). Two days later I received a fourth email informing me that after reviewing both of my recorded interviews they would like to invite me to a F2F interview in Atlanta. The very next day I was contacted by a Delta Talent Aqcuisition member who asked me a few questions regarding if I had ever flown on delta, had any tattoos and if I was willing to abide my their uniform policies ( I said yes to the uniform policy) then she requested my passport information. She then informed me that within the next 7-10 days I would receive an email with the dates for my F2F interview; however, two days later I received an email in which I was given three options to choose from and they asked me to list the dates in my order of preference. I was given my first chose and within a matter of a week, I was flown to Atlanta, was interviewed and flown back home. F2F interview- My interview was scheduled for 7:30am. I arrived at the Delta training facility at 7:15am and the room was already full of approximately 50 people, I should mention that all the other applicants were all very nice and everyone was talking to each other (this is recommended for you to do since there are FA and HR team members watching how you interact) therefore you are expected to interact until they come get you exactly at 7:30am. We were then divided into 3 groups (A, B, C) in order to ensure that you participate in the three phases of the interview (Fireside chat, One on One, and Benefits presentation) During this time they will conduct a reach test and safety seat test to ensure you fit! PLEASE, PLEASE do your research and study the Delta brand, Delta family, DELTA CORE VALUES in order to be prepared for the interview. Toward the end of the interview they gather all the candidate together and thank you for attending the F2F, they tell you that you will be contacted in approximately two weeks with the results. Then they ask call out a few names and tell them that they would like to ask them a few additional questions ( I think they are the ones that are hired) and everyone else is led outside and given information on how to transport back to the airport. The one thing I learned is that I should have let my personality shine and be genuine otherwise other candidates will outshine you! Unfortunately the competition if fierce, Delta is really looking for the best of the Best! The whole interview process was an unforgettable experience, I met awesome people but it is simply too competitive :( The good thing is that you can reapply every 6 months. Do keep in mind that even if you are not given a job offer, making it to the F2F is a huge accomplishment since I read in an article that 40,000 people applied to Delta in January 2015 alone which means that they saw something special in you! Good Luck to you all! Hopefully I will have better luck next time!

      Interview

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.
