I applied online. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2013
Interview
Applied online in December of 2012 and heard nothing back until March 2013. I originally missed the call. Called back and the lady said that I would be contacted for a phone interview again soon. Heard nothing back for about two weeks. I finally called again and they did a phone interview on the spot. I was felt I did not do well since I was not prepared, but I suppose I did okay because she went straight into a second set of slightly more difficult interview questions. The total time for the phone interview was about 30 minutes. They asked pretty standard questions. The ones I remember: what would you do to handle a crying baby on board, what if a customer became intoxicated on board, tell me about a time you handled a stressful situation, tell me about a safety procedure set in place at your current job and how you would or would not change that procedure, etc.
I received a call back within 24 hours asking me in for a face to face interview the following day.
The face to face was pretty intimidating. I was in a smaller group (about 35 applicants). From what I understand it is typically a much larger crowd. They split us into three groups which rotated between the interview portion (1 on 1 with two interviewers), a Q&A session about training/benefits, a height test where they made sure we could reach the overhead bin and buckle a seat belt. They also took our photo.
There were a TON of Delta crew there (at least 30+), so be prepared!
Overall, it was a good interview experience, but very long (appx 5-6 hours). They made a huge effort to make everyone feel comfortable and relaxed.
Of our group, they only hired about 3 on the spot. they said they would contact additional applicants within two weeks via email. I received an email about a week later stating I had not been selected.
I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.

(odvi)For the ODVI they give you an unlimited amount of time to prepare before hitting record. Not sure if the camera is still capturing you while you are preparing for the question even though you didn’t hit record so be mindful of that
