I had a good interview process, albeit unconventional - which may be expected of a start-up. First call with Director of Operations, second call with a team member followed by a take home task. I had 2 additional calls, one with the COO and one with the CEO. I feel like one would perform well in the interviews if you can articulately explain what Deel does (ideally, specifically the team you would be joining), what the major pain point is and how this has traditionally been solved.
The take home task was fairly straight forward if you have a decent command of Tableau or similar (Root cause analysis).
There were times when the platform was changed last minute (Zoom call to Teams meeting or Chrome Hangouts to Whatsapp call) - some may find the unpredictability unnerving but in my view it is somewhat to be expected in a rapidly scaling & agile environment.
Overall the calls were friendly and the people seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me. There were times when there were miscommunications but credit where credit is due - they are doubling the org size every few months.
