Initial phone interview with HR followed by two separate zooms with hiring manager and a team member followed by in person interview with manager of entire legal team and a couple others. Everyone was super professional, friendly, and I was excited about the position because I could see working with this group and learning a lot. I was told they would likely have the top two people come in to meet the entire department and I was asked if that would be easy for me to maybe come in for lunch. Then I received an automated rejection email that came through under their parent company and listed the numerical code for the position. I actually had to cross check the letter to make sure it was a rejection for the job I had been interviewing for. After so many interviews, I would have thought a human being would have called me or emailed me to let me know that they went with someone with more experience or whatever. Instead, the job was reposted with different qualifications. I presume they decided their needs were different from original posting and that's fine--how about EXPLAIN that to the people who spent over 7 hours interviewing. The rejection method really turned me off an otherwise very positive experience. I guess if that is how they handle candidates, maybe I wouldn't be happy going to work there.
