      Customer Service Representative Interview

      26 Oct 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at DealDash in Sept 2020

      Interview

I applied online and was contacted for a 15 minute screening phone interview soon after. After the call, I was sent a timed practice test to see how I would provide "Legendary" customer service for 3 given examples. Then I had a second 1 hour interview with two members of the customer service team. They were very friendly and asked questions about my experience and how I would act in certain situations. One how the questions was "Do you think McDonald's contributes to obesity in America because they ask customers if they want to upsize their fries?". This is an interesting question. Assuming you have done research about the company, you know that how their platform works. So the question about obesity and McDonald's was to gage how I feel about gambling in relation to DealDash. If you check out their YouTube videos it's easy to see the type of people that use DealDash and how it would be relevant. I was then scheduled for a final 1 hour interview with the CEO and another member from Finland. I had read other interview reviews before so I knew what to expect, but I was still surprised at how disinterested the CEO seemed in my interview from start to finish. He said he had my application and notes from the previous interviews, but by his questions he clearly had not reviewed them prior to the interview. The questions had nothing to do about the position, and there were many awkward pauses and silences. He smiled maybe once and wasn't friendly at all. The entire process was easy and vey fast. It was a good experience, except for the final interview. I'm sure it would be a decent place to work, but I was relieved to not get an offer.

      Customer Service Representative Interview

      13 Dec 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at DealDash

      Interview

The interview process was quite extensive. Yet they made it enjoyable, friendly, and comfortable. The first stage was just a short meeting introducing yourself. The second was a standard interview with the head of the department and a member of the team. The third was an interview with the CEO and department heads. Unconventional interview - with themes of philosophy and who are as an individual and your relation to the world. Afterward, they did a thought exercise regarding catchment areas to understand your critical thinking. I was nervous, but they were very patient and understanding and gave me a little extra time. The last phase was just a short exercise with customer service questions.

      Customer Service Representative Interview

      14 Nov 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DealDash in Nov 2022

      Interview

The interviewer was not a recruiter, but another Customer Service Representative, which was fine but I felt like she was actually trying to make me not want to work at DealDash. The were many long, uncomfortable pauses in our conversation (which I never usually experience in interviews as I am very chatty). When I told her that I was looking for a customer service role because I like that they offer lots of room for growth. She told me that there would be no room for growth except for after a few years maybe. I thought that was a strange thing to tell someone you are potentially looking to hire. When I asked her if she enjoyed working for DealDash, she told me she enjoys it because she likes being expected to work all day and then after her work hours often- which again, I thought was a weird answer. Overall, she made DealDash (a company I had applied to work for because I had liked what I had heard about their company culture), sound like they overwork their employees and like somewhere I wouldn't enjoy working. As well as this, she kept on asking me why I was wanting to be a customer service representative if I had a previous job doing something else and I kept on having to explain to her that customer service is a completely different role to my previous one, so you can't really think of either one of them as better or worse.
