Davidson Architecture & Engineering interview questions

Prior to interviewing, I visited the firm for a tour and was in regular correspondence with the receptionist. She arranged an interview with the owner of the firm. When interviewing with the firm owner, he was rather apathetic about the profession. I was told I was not a strong candidate as I do not have any family members working in the architecture/engineering profession. They were only interested in hiring a candidate who provided additional networking connections for the firm.
