Not your regular interview. Deemed as a ‘group interview’ for the initial stage, it consists of all the contenders, a brief tour around the club, then into a room where you will be completing the rest of the interview in.
Split into sectors/activities, the first one you go around and briefly introduce yourself.
Second you have 5/10 mins to plan a 2 min presentation about a passion/hobby/interest of yourself.
Then a group activity, working as a whole with all the other contenders, on an unorthodox scenario-type activity (e.g. “you’re stranded on a dessert island, list these items of importance from 1-10). You then get scored on this.
Then lastly, is a small demonstration of a warm up, exercise, progression + regression, and a cool down.
Then time for questions, and pretty much the end.
Other Personal Trainer interview reviews for David Lloyd Clubs
Informal and pleasant with a nice atmosphere and honest about work load and effort required. Open to being asked questions and answering honestly. Seems a nice place to work. Found the informal approach nice and the club facilities good.
I interviewed at David Lloyd Clubs (York, England)
Interview
Stressful, long, and ended up with an internal hire. It feels like a waste of time.
There are definitely things to improve. The first stage was a group interview, which I had never experienced before.
