This review is more for DataDog than prospective employees. I was very unimpressed by the recruiter. I don't want to drag the recruiter so I won't mention names but I was turned off to DataDog by this persons lack of interest in the interview. Everyone has a bad day, but as the first impression of the business, they made an awful one. The interviewer could not have seemed less interested in our conversation. When it was my turn to ask questions, they said, "I'm all good on my side- you have any questions for me?" Their tonality made it seem like I was burdening them with my questions once I started asking. When I asked things like, "what percentage of employees are hitting quota" I would get a vague answer when it is a data driven easy to produce answer. Perhaps they were hiding something, perhaps they were uninformed, either way, not what a potential employee wants to hear. When I asked why the position was open, if I was filling a seat from someone who had churned, or if the department was growing, he responded - "I have another meeting, I have to go". The unprofessionalism was laughable. Overall, Datadog has great reviews but I couldn't recommend the company to anyone based on my first impression of the business.
